Jamie Fischer

Director

Appointed in January 2015, Jamie Fischer and his wife Michelle (Roman) Fischer, a Penn Yan native, joined the full-time staff at LeTourneau in mid-February 2015. Jamie brings a wealth of experience from his time as a missionary in East Asia and as a pastor in Tennessee. With a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care, Jamie is passionate about discipleship, outreach, and building a Christ-centered team. His leadership continues to strengthen LeTourneau’s impact on local churches and believers.

Jamie and Michelle, enjoy parenting their five children, Savannah, Annabelle, Josiah, Piper and Shiloh. In his free time, Jamie enjoys watching his kids play sports, reading, and taking walks with Michelle. He also loves going on lunch dates with his kids, often including a stop at Dunkin’.

Jen Roman

Operations Manager

Jen Roman joined LeTourneau in August 2021 as the Marketing and Event Coordinator, bringing a diverse background as a physical education teacher, coach, personal trainer, and medical billing professional. A native of the area, she felt God calling her back to Upstate NY after spending years in the South. In her previous role, Jen planned, prepared, and marketed events such as day camps, family gatherings, and youth rallies, while also launching a Homeschool Support Group to encourage and connect local students. Jen is now transitioning into the role of Operations Manager and is excited to continue serving and allowing God to use her to advance His Kingdom.

In her free time, Jen enjoys walks with family and friends, preferably in sunshine, making homemade yogurt and kombucha, and attending CrossFit.

Jason Dailey

Program Director

Jason Dailey joined LeTourneau as Program Director in March 2019. Originally from Missouri, Jason brings over 13 years of experience in sports, recreation, and ministry, with roles as an Upward Sports Director, Athletic Director, preacher, and LifeWay store manager. At LeTourneau, he has expanded and enhanced summer kids’ camps and oversees events for both guests and the local community. Through his creativity and passion, Jason has fostered a fun, engaging environment that continues to grow LeTourneau’s impact for the Lord.

In his free time, Jason enjoys taking walks with his wife, Ginger, playing disc golf with his son, Jensen, and watching movies with his daughter, Alyssa. He also enjoys game nights with friends.

Shane Collins

Group Coordinator & Office Manager

Shane Collins joined LeTourneau in April 2019 as Office Manager and later took on the role of Groups Coordinator. Growing up in Newark, NY, Shane pursued a degree in Sport Management from St. John Fisher College, where his involvement with Cru (Campus Crusade) led him to answer God’s call to ministry. He earned a Master of Divinity in Discipleship & Church Ministry from Liberty University and has faithfully served at Cross Creek Church, both as a former youth and young adult leader and as the current Associate Discipleship Pastor. Shane brings a heart for ministry and a willingness to serve in any capacity, making him an invaluable part of the LeTourneau team.

Shane is married to Renee, and together they enjoy raising their energetic and adorable young son, Levi. In his free time, Shane enjoys traveling, watching a good movie, eating good food, and rooting for the Buffalo Bills.

Derek Ballard

Discipleship Coordinator

Derek Ballard first volunteered at LeTourneau in 2017, primarily working in maintenance, and has remained committed to its ministry ever since. After earning his Biology degree in 2023, he returned to LeTourneau with his wife, Christen, a graduate of THE WAY School of Discipleship and a frequent volunteer, to begin a new chapter in the place that shaped him during his teenage years. Derek is passionate about discipling young people, particularly through THE WAY summer program and the School of Discipleship. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Derek and Christen are dedicated to serving LeTourneau, their local church, and building up the kingdom of God in the greater Canandaigua area.

In his free time, Derek enjoys spending time with family, reading, and hiking while exploring nature.

Cameron Ryan

Events & Media Intern

Cameron Ryan joined LeTourneau in September 2024 after graduating from THE WAY One Year Program. Originally from Rochester, NY, Cameron brings his experience as a youth leader and passionate volunteer in children’s ministry, now serving as a counselor at our Summer Camps. He is excited to build upon the biblical education he’s received to create impactful Christian media and looks forward to seeing how God will use his gifts at LeTourneau.

In his free time, Cameron enjoys playing games with friends, filmmaking, and creating water color art.

Elise Duncan

Programs & Marketing Intern

Elise Duncan began her journey at LeTourneau as a summer staff volunteer at just 14 years old, and her love for the ministry has only grown since. Elise completed THE WAY One Year program in 2024, and the Lord led her to stay. As an intern, she brings her passion for community and service to roles in marketing, social media, and event planning. She also enjoys serving guests in the dining hall, where she helps create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With a heart for ministry and creativity, Elise is excited to continue sharing LeTourneau’s mission and making a meaningful impact in the community.

In her free time, Elise enjoys hanging out with friends, helping with Awana and singing and listening to music.

Renee Collins

Marketing Designer

Renee Collins joined LeTourneau in September 2019 as Dining Hall Hostess and now serves as Marketing Designer and a support for special projects. Originally from Scranton, PA, Renee spent her childhood as a missionary in Durban, South Africa, before returning to the U.S. at the age of 17. She holds a Bachelor’s in Christian Counseling from Clarks Summit University and an Associate’s in Architecture from Onondaga Community College. With a talent for marketing, interior design, and creating welcoming spaces, Renee uses her gifts and missionary heart to serve LeTourneau’s ministry in meaningful ways.

Renee loves being a mom to Levi and wife to Shane. In her free time, she enjoys baking, sewing, and spending time with family.

Bob Anderson

Project Manager

Bob joined LeTourneau in February 2017, bringing over 25 years of experience in remodeling and new home construction. With a degree in Landscape Design from Cobleskill, Bob has contributed to numerous campus improvements, including renovating various spaces, upgrading facilities, and overseeing construction projects that support the staff and ministry. Known for his hard work, dedication, and love for sharing the Gospel, Bob’s efforts continue to have a lasting impact on both LeTourneau’s facilities and its mission.

Bob has been married to Mary Ann since 2005 and is the father of Lydia. In his free time, Bob enjoys hiking, hunting, and bike riding.

Mark Champlin

Maintenance & Grounds Manager

Mark Champlin joined the LeTourneau team in January 2020 as Maintenance Manager, bringing a wealth of experience and versatility to his role. A Geneva, NY native, Mark grew up as a student-athlete and worked in his family’s glass company before gaining diverse work experiences in New York and southern California. After 31 years as a Union Glazier, he retired but felt God’s call to use his skills in ministry at LeTourneau. A faithful servant at Geneva Christian Fellowship, Mark has been a valuable addition, stepping into various roles and contributing his talents to further the mission of LeTourneau.

In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Cindy, exercising and woodworking.

Sam Peters

Grounds Coordinator

Sam began his journey at LeTourneau as a volunteer in 2017, working alongside his mom, who was our Dining Hall Manager. He went on to serve as a member of THE WAY summer staff and later became a student in THE WAY School Discipleship Program, graduating in 2021 and completing the second-year program as our first student. Sam joined our full-time staff in 2022 as part of the maintenance and grounds team but stepped away at the end of that year before returning in the summer of 2024. He is known for his strong work ethic, servant’s heart, and love for the Lord.

Sam married Janelle McNabb, our Kitchen Manager, on October 4th, 2024, and they are excited for their future together. In his free time, Sam enjoys hiking, creating art project, and cooking.

Samuel Smith

Maintenance Intern

Samuel Smith was born in North Carolina but moved to Canandaigua, NY, at a young age, where his deep connection to LeTourneau began. With a rich musical heritage, Samuel and his family often join in beautiful four-part harmony as an expression of worship. Samuel has been a longtime volunteer at LeTourneau, frequently assisting with sound at the Blessed Hope Ladies Luncheon. After completing THE WAY One-Year School of Discipleship program, he felt called to stay on as an intern in grounds and maintenance. A dedicated member of Middlesex Baptist Church, Samuel faithfully serves his community with hard work and excellence, bringing his heart for ministry to everything he does at LeTourneau.

In his free time, Samuel enjoys singing, playing music, listening to tunes, socializing with friends, and staying active through workouts.

Mary Ann Anderson

Special Projects Coordinator

Mary Ann began her ministry at LeTourneau in 2017, assisting with the Lodge renovation alongside Bob. She now oversees special projects, ensuring that accommodations are updated, beautiful, and welcoming for guests. Her attention to detail and talent for interior decorating are evident in the comfortable and inviting spaces she creates. Mary Ann also enjoys managing our Gift Shop. LeTourneau is blessed by her creativity, insight, and commitment to serving others through her work.

In her free time, Mary Ann enjoys coffee and lunch dates with her husband, spending time with her sisters and grandkids, as well as being outdoors to enjoy God’s creation and journaling.

Josh Ingram

Housekeeping Coordinator

Josh Ingram was born and raised in Benton Center, not far from LeTourneau. Josh goes to Penn Yan Bible Church where he serves on the praise team and as the volunteer Assistant custodian. He learned of LeTourneau from previous family members who served here including his sister Mary who graduated from THE WAY School of Discipleship. Josh has been serving with us since the beginning of 2023, we are incredibly grateful to have him on the team. He is a very hard worker and gifted with paying careful attention to details to help provide clean and comfortable spaces for our guests.

In his free time, Josh enjoys target shooting, reading Tolkien, and playing story-driven video games.

Janelle Peters

Kitchen Manager

Janelle joined us as a student in THE WAY School of Discipleship in 2020 and felt called to stay on as staff after graduating in 2021. As our Kitchen Manager, she oversees menu creation, ordering for meals for groups and events, and the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including managing volunteers and staff. Janelle has a deep passion for God’s Word and loves discipling young women, especially those who join us for THE WAY Summer Program. Janelle is married to Sam Peters, our Grounds Coordinator. In His kindness, God allowed them to form a beautiful friendship during their time at LeTourneau, which eventually led to marriage.

In her free time, Janelle enjoys reading, hiking, and doing puzzles.

Michelle Fischer

Camp Assistant

Michelle Fischer, a Penn Yan native, serves alongside Jamie with a heart for ministry and community. Drawing from her experiences abroad and her deep connection to the region, Michelle is committed to supporting the mission at LeTourneau through her faithful service and dedication to building relationships. Together, Jamie and Michelle eagerly serve the Lord’s work in the region.

Along with being a homeschool mom, Michelle stays very busy. However, when she does have free time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her family and reading biographies. Michelle has a great love for animals, especially dogs and horses.

THE WAY Summer Discipleship and Service Program is an exciting ministry for teenage students and college-age adults to grow in their relationship with God establishing their faith that Jesus really is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Every summer, we welcome youth and young adults to join us for eight weeks of ministry and service. Each student will have daily opportunities to form a deeper relationship with God through personal devotions, regular worship, and constant interaction with designated cabin leaders who will mentor and encourage them.
